Slow Cookers
Slow Cookers are a great way to maximize the flavour out of any meat or vegetables you are cooking. The concept behind a slow cooker is that you will be able to cook your food at a lower temperature but over a long period of time. By taking your time to do this there is less flavour being dissipated through over heating and evaporation which is way slow cooked vegetables always taste better than their fast boiled counterparts. Be careful when cleaning your slow cooker. The large pot basin used for cooking is usually untreated clay on the side which is not in contact with the food. You have to keep this surface as dry as possible to avoid warping and cracking.
