Kettles
When purchasing a kettle you'll notice there are many different models out there. For as little as $15 you can get a basic unit which will do only the most basic function, boiling water. Additional features to look for when buying a kettle are as follows: Self shut off is important so the kettle knows to stop boiling once it has reached that point (an important safely feature). Cordless kettles are another popular feature. With cordless units you will have a base which the kettle sits on to power the unit while boiling. The benefit of this is that you need not worry about a live power cable when pouring, another key safety feature.
