Ice Cream Makers
An ice cream maker is an appliance which is used to mix and chill ice cream. When creating ice cream the mixture needs to be chilled and stirred (or churned) at the same time in order to prevent ice crystals from forming on the surface. By doing so you can ensure the creamy texture required to form a good batch. Some older style machines required the mixture to be pre-cooled for that the appliance itself be placed inside the refrigerator while it does its work. Fortunately there are now self cooling models available which makes the process a whole lot easier. Your ice cream will most often be ready to eat right out of the machine but in some cases extra freezing time is needed to achieve the right consistency like when alcohol is incorporated into the mix.
