Griddles
A griddle is a double sided electric hot plate. When cooking in a griddle your food is sandwiched between two hot surfaces so that it can be cooked on both sides simultaneously. The cooking surface of the griddle has a non stick coating, usually Teflon so that you can cook without having to use excessive amounts of oil. Griddles come in various forms from grilled cheese sandwich makers, to waffle irons, to even the popular "George Forman Lean Mean Grilling Machine" as featured on television.
